Chrystal Chandelier) Zorro went to the National Specialty in Rhode Island in April 2007, and for the second time, he was among the final few Borzoi standing at the end of the Best of Breed judging, taking home an Award of Merit.  photo by Tom Kasowski at BCOA 2007 In 2004, Zorro thrilled us by coming down to the final two competitors at the Centennial National Specialty in a an entry of 605 Borzoi. He was shown to the first Award of Merit by his co-breeder, Shawn Smith. This is only the second time Zorro had been in the ring as a Special.  In November 2004 and 2006, Zorro was Best of Breed at the BCOA supported entry in Ocala, and went on to Hound Group IIIs. In his class career, Zorro won a 5 point major and a BOB from the classes in 2002, then at age two, he ate a foreign object, necessitating surgery. It took quite a while for his coat to recover from the emergency clinic's clippers. He came back to the ring in late Spring of 2003 and won at most of the shows he went to, finishing with another major in August.  Bred to Ch. Sylvan Dominique,
