Gemini became the first show Borzoi for Shea Bailey. His first few puppy outings resulted in a Supported Entry Best in Sweepstakes over 41 puppies, a Best of Breed, and six points including a major. He finished his Championship at the last show of 1996.

In January of 2003, Gem came back to try coursing again. He ran pretty well for an old guy, with lots of enthusiasm.
