Caldonia is the only girl from a litter of three, that Shawn and Tammy Smith of Monarch Borzoi have shared with us. Her high energy and incredible speed have earned for her the nickname "Midget Racer" at home.

In May 2001, Caldonia won a five point major at the supported entry in Georgia, and followed this with a thrilling Best of Opposite Sex in the Futurity at the National Specialty. She won her class in the Sweepstakes as well. The path to her show Championship included a SECOND supported entry win.

In the Fall of 2001, she made a big splash on the lure coursing field, winning BEST IN FIELD at her first ASFA trial. She finished her ASFA Field Championship with firsts all but once.

In AKC coursing, Caldonia was just as successful, completeing her title in January 2003.

Another favorite activity for Midgie was carting. With her cousin Tattoo, she pulled her mistress hundreds of miles around the country roads in a Sacco cart from Norway.
