Carbon left home at 8 months to live with our friend, Sabrina Magee, near Atlanta. As he matured, we showed him in the Atlanta area shows where he easily finished his Championship and then a Grand Championship.

In August of 2015, a change in life circumstances sent Carbon back to Florida to live with us. On his first Florida outing, Carbon earned two Group placements and the kennel's first Best Owner Handled in Show award.

Carbon was shown a few more times in the Fall, and finished 2015 with Select Dog at the AKC National Championship show and won the Owner Handled final competition.

​

His sister Springbok was our primary special, so Carbon was mainly shown when she was out of coat or on maternity leave. He still earned respect in the Hound Group and in the breed ring.
