Ch. Sylvan Pewter Gazelle

Gazelle was the first of the siblings to be shown, and finished quickly from Bred-By class.

When the litter was born, we were in the process of building a new house, so there were a lot of changes in housing, fencing, etc. that year. The puppies had several successful breakouts from temporary fencing, and the trouble twins, Spring and Gazelle, built their skills with each attempt. As young adults, the girls expanded their horizons by enlarging the slightest critter depression under the perimeter fences and went on the lam in our rural neighborhood with alarming frequency. We needed to break up the team for their safety and our sanity!

In January 2013, we drove from Florida to Palm Springs where Gazelle was BOB in an entry of 60 Borzoi, and Select the following day. There she met one of her new owners, Anne Quinn, who took her home to Summerlane. The ground there is rock hard compared to Florida's sand so Princess Gazelle mended her excavating ways and lives a pampered life.

Gazelle is co-owned by Anne Quinn, and Cherie Hunchak, Elance Borzoi in Alberta, Canada. She was bred to Ch. Elance Black Swan  and in August 2013 she produced:

Ch. Elance Summerlane Tigerwing - BOS 2018 National Specialty

Ch. Summerlane Elance Black Swallowtail

Summerlane Elance Glasswing - major pointed

In 2015, our three kennels joined in an exciting venture, the breeding of Gazelle to the aptly named Swedish dog, C.I.B., DK CH, FI CH, DE CH (DWZRV), NO CH, SE CH, GB CH Borzowski's Phenomenon. Only two girls resulted, but what a pair they are:
